
Inaugural Day of NSS 7-Day Camp at JTS Chittur
The seven-day National Service Scheme (NSS) camp of NSS Unit SFU/17, SKHSS Nallepilly commenced with great enthusiasm at JTS Chittur. The inaugural day marked the beginning of a meaningful journey of service, discipline, and social commitment by the NSS volunteers.
Flag Off & Vilambara Jatha
The inaugural activities began with the flag off ceremony, led by Volunteer Leader Yashaz P S. Immediately after the flag off, the volunteers conducted a vibrant Vilambara Jatha, conveying the message of social responsibility and collective participation to the public.
Addressing the volunteers during the flag off session, Principal A. Chandrashekhar and NSS Programme Officer Sri. Anil Kumar P K highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork and service-mindedness in NSS activities.
Formal Inaugural Ceremony
Following the jatha, the formal inaugural ceremony was conducted. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Principal A. Chandrashekhar.
The camp was officially inaugurated by Deepa V, while K. Muraleedharan presided over the function as Chairman. The detailed outline and objectives of the camp were presented by Anil Kumar P K.
Felicitations and words of encouragement were offered by Radha R, Vijayan P and Shreeja R. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Camp Leader Akshaya.
The camp is scheduled to conclude on 01 January 2026, with a series of educational, social awareness and community-oriented activities planned for the holistic development of the volunteers.
