Training Programme on Caring & Marketing of
Ornamental Plants

Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School, Nallepilly
NSS Unit SFU/17 of Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School (SKHSS), Nallepilly organised a meaningful and skill-oriented programme titled “Agnichirakukal”. The programme aimed to train students and parents on the caring and marketing of ornamental plants, encouraging self-reliance, environmental awareness, and entrepreneurship.
🎉 Inauguration & Formal Session
The programme was formally inaugurated by Principal A. Chandrashekhar, who highlighted the importance of practical skills and green initiatives among students and families.
The welcome address was delivered by Akshaya, First-Year NSS Leader. NSS Advisory Committee member Usman AH greeted the gathering and appreciated the initiative.
🌼 Training Session
The training session was conducted by Sri Narendranath, who provided detailed guidance on:
- 🌱 Selection of ornamental plants
- 💧 Proper care and maintenance
- 🌸 Nursery management basics
- 💰 Marketing and income generation techniques
The session was highly interactive and informative. NSS volunteers actively participated, asked questions, and gained practical knowledge that can be applied in daily life.
🤝 Active Participation
Both students and parents showed great enthusiasm throughout the programme. The active involvement of NSS volunteers ensured the success of the event. “Agnichirakukal” stood as a fine example of how NSS connects education with real-life skills and community development.
