Anti-Drug Awareness Programme Held at SKHSS Nallepilly
Nallepilly | 26 June 2025 โ SKHSS Nallepilly observed International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with a powerful set of awareness programs aimed at educating students and the public on the dangers of drug abuse.
The event was inaugurated in the presence of dignitaries including Principal A. Chandrashekhar, Excise Department Officers, NSS Programme Officer Anilkumar P.K, Scout and Guide Officer Sajan, and Staff Secretary Pradeesh P.G. The day began with a solemn prayer, followed by a Pledge against Drug Abuse, delivered by an officer from the Excise Department.
To draw attention and engage the student community, high school members of the Scout and Guide unit performed a lively Zumba dance that energized the entire audience. This was followed by a flash mob performance by NSS volunteers, which emphasized the message of “Say No to Drugs” through creative expression.
In an impactful outreach effort, students took to the streets in an anti-drug rally from the school to Mattumantha, a nearby town. Along the way, Zumba dances and flash mobs were performed publicly to capture the attention of local residents and spread the message against substance abuse in a creative and memorable way.
The program was a fusion of awareness, creativity, and action, leaving a lasting impact on all who witnessed it.
