Pain and Palliative Care Day Observed at Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School

NSS Unit SFU/17 of Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School, Nallepilly, organized a meaningful program to observe Pain and Palliative Care Day. The event, which took place on 15-01-2025, included a pledge, a rally, and an energetic flash mob, aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of palliative care in the community.

The program was guided by NSS Program Officer Sri. Anilkumar and NSS advisory committee member Sri. Usman AH, whose efforts ensured the event’s success. The Principal, Sri. A Chandrashekhar, and the Nallepilly Ward Member addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of providing care and support to those in need. Their motivational words inspired both students and attendees.

The event began with a solemn pledge taken by the students, reaffirming their commitment to supporting and advocating for palliative care. Following this, a rally was conducted, with students marching through the local area holding placards and raising slogans to create awareness among the public.

A highlight of the day was the vibrant flash mob performed by the NSS volunteers, which captured the attention of the onlookers and conveyed the message of empathy and care through an artistic medium.

The program was well-received and appreciated by the school community and local residents alike. It underscored the pivotal role of youth in driving social change and supporting humanitarian causes.
