On 16-01-2026, the NSS Unit SFU/17 of Sreekrishna Higher Secondary School (SKHSS), Nallepilly conducted a meaningful outreach visit to Pratheeksha School for Mentally Challenged, located near Thathamangalam, Palakkad. The programme aimed to interact with the students, provide food, and share moments of love and care.

🚌 Journey to Pratheeksha School

The journey started from our school campus with NSS volunteers travelling together in the school bus. We reached Pratheeksha School at 11.30 AM. The school campus was well-furnished, and the dedication of the teachers was clearly visible.

🤝 Interaction & Care

From 11.30 AM to 12.30 PM, our volunteers interacted closely with the students. They showed affection, care, and compassion to the best of their abilities. These moments created smiles and built emotional connections between the volunteers and the students.

🍽️ Food Distribution

As part of the service activity, Chicken Biriyani with egg was arranged for everyone in the school. At 12.30 PM, our volunteers served food and helped the students during the meal. After enjoying the delicious food, the students were guided back to their classrooms.

🎶 Cultural Activities

To make the day joyful, our NSS volunteers performed cultural activities to entertain the students. The students of Pratheeksha School also presented well-organised cultural programmes, displaying their talents and enthusiasm. The atmosphere was filled with happiness and positive energy.

🙏 Words of Gratitude

At the end of the programme, the Principal of Pratheeksha School addressed the gathering and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the visit. The entire programme was effectively guided by NSS Programme Officer Anil Sir, along with NSS Advisory Committee members Usman and Pradeesh.

The NSS team returned to our mother school at 3.30 PM, carrying unforgettable memories and a renewed sense of social responsibility.
